The moonloft is an adaptogenic latte bar and breathing room coming soon to New York City.

Each aspect of the project was dreamed up and designed by a fully female team in pursuit of cultivating holistic wellbeing through space and ritual. each detail – from interiors to menu design – was created to honor and support our natural cycles.

all creative direction of interiors, brand and experience was led by ashley autumn of haumn, with all interior architecture, renderings and project management led by Steffi Min and Mary Frisbee of clear studios. The space was founded by kundalini teacher, Olena devi.

The team combined holistic space design, wabi sabi and vedic philosophies, and ancient plant remedies to concept and create a sense of home and belonging nestled in the chaotic charm and splendor of Manhattan’s West Village.

The process was one of curiosity, experimentation, expression and collaboration – a fully yin approach to space.

The creative direction called for only organic, folding, womb like seams without a single sharp edge or defined corner.

All furniture and fixtures were designed and custom fabricated using purely natural and sustainable materials, from the lighting and furniture, to paint and cabinetry.

The team collaborated with mycelium artist, danielle trofe to create custom pendants, wall sconces and cafe tables from mycelium substrate. The space design also featured carved stone counter tops, hand-painted, limewash walls, and naturally dyed, botanical upholstery utilizing the herbs and flora featured in the adaptogenic menu.
